This 2-day trek starts with pickup in Chiang Mai and a drive into the Doi Inthanon area, including a stop at a local market before reaching the starting point near a Karen village. From there, the route follows farmland and forest trails, with about 4 hours of hiking before lunch at a waterfall and another 3 hours of trekking to the remote jungle camp for the night.
On the second day, the hike continues through mountain scenery and forest trails, with another hill tribe village stop for lunch and a final waterfall break before returning to Chiang Mai. Compared with M3, this route is more focused on pure jungle trekking and overnight camp atmosphere rather than major Doi Inthanon sightseeing landmarks.
