Accident
Spend a full day at Joy Elephant Sanctuary learning about elephants through an observation-led experience that also includes Karen cultural elements and time in the countryside outside Chiang Mai. Guests can help prepare food, feed elephants from a safe distance, and watch their daily routines in a more natural setting.
Compared with the half-day visit, the full-day experience adds more sanctuary-based activities, including making herbal medicine balls for the elephants and planting seedlings that will become future elephant food. This makes it the better choice for travelers who want a deeper, longer visit rather than a shorter introduction.
